Making a big change can see complicated. It is easy to get caught up on getting started. So often I am asked "where should I even begin?".
My suggestion: focus on what you can add in to your life not what you have to lose. Where can you add in healthy habits that will translate in to a larger scale of progress? Start simple and take it day by day. Major progress happens gradually. Slow progress is progress.
Add in 30 minutes or 3 miles daily!
Get your body moving for at least 30 minutes every day, Instead of trying to take on a crazy juice fast or extreme workout program focus on moving more. Take the dogs for a walk, try a new workout class or do an at home booty workout.
Keep it FRESH.
Add in more fresh produce to your diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables provide you with essential nutrients with a highly filling effect. One cup of strawberries contains only 12grams of carbs and are great source of vitamin c, are low calorie, nutritious and fill you up fast. These low calorie high volume foods will keep you satisfied longer. Watermelon is also a get high volume filling fruit.
Drink up buttercup!
Drink more water. Drinking an adequate amount of water allows your organs to function properly. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water daily (200lbs=100 ounces)
Water increases your metabolism so much that if you’re chronically dehydrated, it can mean up to an 8-pound weight gain or more per year. It is so often we mistake hunger for dehydration. In order for proper diet and exercise to be truly effective, you’ll need to maintain a proper hydration level so that the body fat released into the bloodstream can be broken up into proteins.
Drink up butter cup!
This happy thoughts.
Get on the positive vibe train! A negative mindset will never yield a positive life. Spend a few minutes every day taking deep breathes and focusing on things you are grateful for. Reach out to someone in your life and praise them. Do something kind for a stranger. The more happiness you manifest in your life the more will come your way.
Make regular goals. You can make mini goals weekly, new goals at the beginning of the month or really whenever you need a fresh start. Setting goals helps keep you motivated. One you make your goals create a game plan to achieve them. Making a major lifestyle change requires some planning. Make the most out of the week by creating a game plan. A goal without a plan is just a wish.
Most importantly KEEP GOING!
