KATS FIT TIPS

DRINK ½ YOUR WEIGHT IN OUNCES OF WATER EVERY DAY-

  • H20 is a vital part of overall health. 200LBS= 100 OZ. Water increases your metabolism so much that if you’re chronically dehydrated, it can mean up to an 8-pound weight gain or more per year. It is so often we mistake hunger for dehydration. In order for proper diet and exercise to be truly effective, you’ll need to maintain a proper hydration level so that the body fat released into the bloodstream can be broken up into proteins.

EAT 5-7 SMALL MEALS DAILY

  • Take the idea of 3 square meals and get it out of your head! Focus on 5-7 small meals daily that will keep your metabolism chugging all day long. Meal prep ahead of time to make eating healthy accessible.

AVOID PROCESS FOOD, REFINED SUGARS AND REFINED CARBOHYDRATES.

  • Highly processed packed food are not only nutrient deficient but just straight up bad for your health. Stick to whole minimally processed foods and naturally occurring sugars.

LIMIT ALCOHOL INTAKE

  • We all need to WINE down here and there. Here is the bad news--alcohol has been known to slow the metabolism. It also inhibits the decision making process which can lead to over eating. It is extremely high calorie. Most alcoholic beverages contain at least 175 calories for your average beer and up to a 1000 for a blended Pina Colada.
There are 7 days in a week. If you shoot for 5 small meals per day that gives you 35 chances to make the right choice.
